This absolutely glorious five year old filly has just got better and better as she has matured. Just started under saddle last year, she was a later starter due to being considered not physically mature enough as a three year old. She took to the challenge with enormous enthusiasm, professionalism and a fabulous, willing attitude. She is a horse that loves work. She has been turned away since the late Autumn tmainly due to our move and immediate lack of rider but the break has allowed her to really grow into her frame and power up!
Xanadu has been bred very much with an eventing career in mind and certainly shows all the potential with an abundance of natural talent, scope, balance and bravery.
By Destello, our late Russian Trakehner/Akhal Teke stallion and out of a KWPN mare of exceptional showjumping provinance. This very exciting young horse not only posesses enormous presence and promise, her breeding would indicate many of the highly prized qualities required in top level competition.
This youngster is a delight to handle in all situations, hacks out sensibly in all traffic (even trains don't phase her!). She is vice free and a very loving character. Xanadu has talent in abundance with enormous scope over a fence, courage, speed and fantastic movement in walk, trot and canter. Bred to compete, she is probably more a professionals horse who thrives on work, challenges and attention. She is exceptionally athletic, intelligent and powerful and a job in showjumping or eventing are where we believe she will excel.

Sire - Destello
This beautiful stallion was an amalgamation of some of the best and rarest Trakehner and Akhal-Teke ancestry. His Trakehner bloodlines tracing directly back to Byerley Turk, Darley Arab and Godolphin Arabian, the three Arab founders of the thoroughbred breed.
His pedigree is an amalgamation of top equine athletes in not only the three major disciplines but also in endurance and racing!
Destello was by a Russian Trakehner, Dar who was an intermediate show jumper and reached M level in dressage. Dar was a product of the incredibly successful and famed Russian Dovatar Stud breeding program. A 16.3hh rare palomino Trakehner, he is a horse of exceptional temperament and grace.
Dar is by the International Grand Prix and Elite stallion Ashkhabad and his dam Dolina was a show jumping International.
The Russian Trakehner is rarely seen outside of Russia. This aristocratic and jealously guarded product of highly selective breeding has proven results throughout Eastern Europe as exceptionally talented performers in each of the three major disciplines.
Aschachabad, Dars sire was an outstanding Russian Trakehner stallion by anyones standards. Again bred at the famous Dovatar Stud, he was the winner of Young Stallion of the year held amongst all Belorussin Trakehners. He scored an unprecedented 10 for his jumping ability. However, it was as a dressage horse that Aschchabad was to make his name. He was eventually sold to Germany for dressage.
Ainuke Pegasus, Xanadu's G.dam sire is the legendary Algor. A phenominally successful racehorse in Turkmenistan and one of the few exported Turkmenistan born Akhal Tekes. At the end of his illustrious racing career a successful Estonian Dressage rider imported him for herself and under whom he went on to became a Grand Prix Dressage horse.
He stood at stud and has become an important sire of Estonian Sportshorse in the disciplines of eventing, dressage, showjumping and endurance.
Arabelle. Destellos maternal Grand dam was also an advanced dressage horse.
Xanadu's dam also boasts a pedigree adorned with great horses. Deihaiwejo is by Al Pacino W - An outstanding International Grand Pix show jumper and
son of the amazing “phenomenon” Andiamo by Animo- Almé).
Her dam lines are equally impressive with her dam sire, Aiglon Rouge a son of two of the most incredible jumpers and producers of simply incredible offspring. Narcos II and the legendry mare, Dirka - dam of Quidam de Revel, Paprika de Revel, Vallon Rouge to name just a few!
This mare, in addition to her incredible ancestry of high achieving and historically important bloodlines. She has the most wonderful character and sensible nature which she consistently passes on to her offspring. A mare of impeccable breeding, huge athleticism, movement who was bred to excel as a jumper in her own right but fate and injury has prevented this.

Al Pacino W showed his superb qualities during his performance tests: he was NRPS approved, and fulfilled all requirements KWPN Approval.
Andiamo Z her G.sire jumped to Grand Prix levell.
His sire, Animo competed consistently among the best in World Cup and grand Prix competitions in the 90's. He jumped in the Olympic Final in 1992, and was placed in 48 World Cups ans Grand Prix. As a breeding stallion, Animo boasts sons approved in numerous studbooks globally.
Alme (GGG Sire)
Almé had a successful career at stud, which is often compared to that of the champion Thoroughbred stallion, Northern Dancer. He first stood at stud as a five year old, serving France from 1971-1974, before standing at Zangersheide from 1975-1985. He was then returned to France, where he stood at the Brullemail stud farm until his retirement in 1990, covering 420 mares from across Europe. His stud fee during this time, after having proven himself so well, ranged from F14,000 to F20,000.
During his first 4 years in France, Almé sired the international show jumpers Galoubet, I Love You (2 time World Cup winner), and Jalisco, as well as the stallions Quick Star and Quatoubet (sire of the three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet). While standing at Zangersheide, his offspring were registered in the Hanoverian stud book, where his blood had great influence, and he also made his way into the Holstein stud books through his sons Ahorn Z, Aloubé Z, Athlet Z, and Alexis Z. His grandson, Quidam de Revel, has also been used in Holstein breeding.
Alme is the only horse to have sired 2 World Champions and 3 Olympic horses. His son, Aerobic, became the top priced horse at the PSI Auktion in Ankum (650,000 DM).
Julio Mariner her GG Sire on her sires dams page is believed to be on of the top thoroughbreds ever produced for breeding top sporthorses. Adding refinement, speed and intelligence.
He produced motherlines of great importance and also top competetive sons who have excelled in sport and as producers of sport horses.
Julio Mariner xx was approved in seven studbooks, including KWPN, Holstein, Hannover and Oldenburg. He was praised by breeders for his eagerness and excellent jumping techniques and is one of the best thoroughbred sires in Dutch breeding. Indeed, technique, reflexes and alertness characterise both the jumping manners of Julio Mariner xx and those of his offspring.

NARCOS II
Chosen to compete in the Seoul Olympics and has been a regular competitor in international competitions from Calgary to Hickstead. In 1991 he won the European Young Riders Championship. Has won numerous puissance classes which included a record jump of 2.25 metres.
This is one of the most sought after stallions in France where his offspring are now now jumping internationally. He is half brother toQuat'Sous and Vercors IV and one of his sons' is Hinault.
