A little about the breeding
May Bellini is a Hanoverian mare by the outstanding International Grand Prix show jumping stallion Monte Bellini. Standing at 17hh and eleven years old, she competed to Novice BE with 52 foundation points, won at BD Elementary and had BS winnings before having to retire due to injury.
This is a beautiful girl with the nature of an angel. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to welcome her to the family and include her in our very exciting future plans.
Sired my Monte Bellini, there are very few stallions, whose careers are distinguished by such continuous success as the career of Monte Bellini. He was NRW-premium stallion, double National Champion and – after resounding success in Grand Prix, Nations Cups and the World Cup Final of ’s Hertogenbosch/NED - Monte Bellini qualified for the 2012 Olympic Game in London/GBR. Unfortunately, he was unable to participate due to an injury. In the following season he won the Nations Cup in Falsterbo/SWE and Rotterdam/NED where he also won the Grand Prix. His sire Montender won with Marco Kutscher individual Olympic bronze and double gold at the European Championships. Because of her sporting success Monte Bellini’s dam Ramira was awarded with the title „Performance mare jumping“. She also brought the licensed reserve National Champion Conte Bellini (by Cornet Obolensky) who is meanwhile winning show jumping tests up to advanced (S***) level.
His sire Montender won individual Olympic bronze and double gold at the European Championships. Because of her sporting success Monte Bellini’s dam Ramira was awarded with the title „Performance mare jumping“. She also brought the licensed Reserve Bundeschampion Conte Bellini, who meanwhile wins show jumping tests up to advanced (S***) level. The famous bloodlines of Cor de la Bryère, Ramzes AA, Ladykiller xx, Cottage Son xx und Ferdinand are combined in an ideal manner.
The offspring of Monte Bellini establish themselves according to their age in advanced level courses and are highly successful in the National Championships, as recently the placed finalist Monte Madina. 17 of Monte Bellini’s sons have been licensed. Around 30 of his daughters have received a state premium, including various champion mares. His daughter Madame Tussand was top prize foal at the Elite Foal Auction in 2016 in Muenster-Handorf.
This foal's sire GFS Lord of the Dance is homebred and by a stallion that I imported as a yearling from Estonia (Destello). Both these super stallions breeding and details are well documented on their own pages on this website. With their combined pedigrees they bring a rare and desirable blood infusion of of the distinguished Russian Trakehner in it's purest form and top performance, the exotic and mysterious Akhal Teke of Turkmenistan, renowned for extraordinary stamina, agility, bravery and loyalty and American thoroughbred bloodlines of incredible speed and talent as well as a pinch of Hanoverian gravitas and physical power. If this foal is of interest, please read the fascinating history of his ancestry and their achievements.
Strong performance providence within both dressage and jumping capabilities and superb temperament is the result of the amalgamation of this breeding and this foal will have the physical attributes and temperament to train at the highest level.
GFS Lord of the Dance is 'stamping' his offspring to date. Tall, well built with a powerful, compact frame, long legs and extremely attractive head set well on an elegant neck of good length. Equally exciting is the bold, calm and easy going charm they inherit from this beautiful young stallion whose gentle, unflappable nature makes him such a joy to deal with.
Destello was imported by myself as a yearling from his breeder in Estonia. His breeding was rare and highly sought Russian Trakehner x Akhal Teke with superb breeding and illustrious competition ancestry on both sides of his pedigree. Sadly injured as a two year old, he was unable to commence his much anticipated career under saddle and out eventing. There is however little doubt that had he had the opportunity his unbelievable athleticism, raw speed, power and endurance coupled with his incredible brave nature would have made him a formidable force in competition.
Dar, Destello's sire is by the International Grand Prix and Elite stallion Ashkhabad and his dam Dolina was a show jumping International.
The Russian Trakehner is rarely seen outside of Russia. This aristocratic and jealously guarded product of highly selective breeding has proven results throughout Eastern Europe as exceptionally talented performers in each of the three major discipline
Aschachabad, Dars sire was an outstanding Russian Trakehner stallion by anyone's standards. Bred at the famous Dovatar Stud, he was the winner of Young Stallion of the year held amongst all Belorussian Trakehners. He scored an unprecedented 10 for his jumping ability. However, it was as a dressage horse that Aschchabad was to make his name. He was eventually sold to Germany for dressage.
GFS Lord of the Dance's dam was owned by us for many years and produced many superb foals for us including two additional Licensed stallions. She was by the hugely promising palomino Hanoverian stallion Malibu Galileo and out of an American thoroughbred mare of tremendous performance and providence on the track

Sadly, his career was tragically cut short whilst competing at Tweeseldown Horse Trials in 2000 where he sustained a fatal injury. He was at that time already Advanced, accruing over 200 BE points during his short career which would otherwise undoubtedly have seen him feature in many major horse trials.
He was sired by, Just a Monarch. A stallion that has produced many superb competition stock over the years. Many of his proven progeny including the International Event Horses, Kings Jester, Just an Ace and Midnight Monarch, as well as point-to-pointer Mark Methane who has won over 30 races.

A little about the breeding
This lovely colt's dam is out of a Graded and very rare pure bred Kinsky warmblood mare. The Kinsky's are renowned for their great natures and ability to turn a hoof to virtually any discipline. Throughout their history this is a breed who has excelled in all sport from Steeplechasing (this was a breed that dominated the famed Grand Pardubice ('the Devils race' in the now Czech Republic. This was a death defying race notorious for its vast obstacles and stamina sapping ploughed fields.
The Kinsky horse's versatility has seen them compete with great success in the fields of showjumping, dressage, endurance, carriage driving and eventing. They are the ultimate all rounder. In addition to their famed versatility, huge hearts and talent under saddle, these rare horses have coats that positively shimmer with an ethereal looking 'metallic' sheen to them. This is thought to come from an infusion of the Akhal Teke and Russian Budyonny bloodlines thought to be used developing the breed. Pepper has this incredible sheen and has produced foals who have shared this miraculous looking coat of glittering golden hues.
Pepper has a fantastic nature and I have no doubt if we had ever put her under saddle she would have proven equally as impressive in her multitude of talents as her ancestors. However as a very accident prone young horse and one who arrived with us as a foal in a very bad way, she has become a very special member of the family, with her gentle and generous disposition and producing beautiful foals with her glorious nature and instantly adored by all who meet her.

A little about the breeding
The dam of this foal is Quirilina Z is a Zangersheide mare who has jumped with success at 1.20 on an FEI passport and has a good BSJA record with her previous amateur owner.
She is a big, powerfully built horse with absolutely outstanding movement, balance and speed. She has a superb jumping pedigree and enormous scope over a fence.
This lovely mare has quality in both looks and ability, she has a lovely nature and this she has clearly passed on to her gorgeous colt.i
Her sire Quirifino Z successfully competed for several years at 1.60m with Ben Maher, coming 4th in the Hickstead Derby among numerous other winnings at Grand Prix level, including competing at the Global Champions Tour 2009 & 2010.
He is a very versatile stallion having produced both showjumpers and eventers. He is renowned for passing his laid back nature to his offspring.
Quidam de Revel, Quirifino's sire is one of the most influential breeding stallions of all time. His offspring are highly sought after as they have huge scopey jumps, but remain ultra careful. In 2004 Quidam topped the World Breeding Championships jumping stallion ratings for the second year, establishing him as the pre-eminent (and most expensive) living sire of showjumping horses.
Quirifino's dam sire Grosso Z produced the international jumping star Goldfever and the international dressage stallion Goethe.
Her damsire Lorentin I is a famous Holsteiner dressage stallion which may well explain her phenomenal movement! He competed at Grand Prix level and sired top dressage progeny including L'Acteur and Limocello.
Fleming her dams Holstein grandsire also competed at Grand Prix dressage.

A little about the breeding
GFS Eskimo Jo, or 'Mojo' as he is known at home was sired by our own young stallion Paddy of Liosin.
Paddy's bloodlines are predominantly of show jumping providence. His sire is Crown's Ace of Pearl a stallion who has been campaigned extensively as show jumper, dressage and eventer, he is by the ZfdP International GP show jumping stallion, Crown's Blue Pearl. A horse bred from the rare and multi talented Kinsky breeding program and infused with high performance thoroughbred bloodlines. The German stallion A-Dur compliments this impressive jumping providence.
Paddy's dam is by Olympic Lux (Lux Z/Lord Calando/Ahorn Z x Ahorn/Nimmerdor/Vicomte Grandieux), the KWPN stallion and prolific sire of of over 15 show jumpers and 15 eventers, all competing at top level. His sire, Lux Z has made an enormous impact on Holsteiner sports breeding. As well as being an Olympic show jumper he has sired over 60 show jumpers and significant numbers of both eventers and dressage horses.
Now this is where Mojo's breeding becomes really interesting! His dam, was a Head Stud Book and premium graded Holsteiner, she is 100% jump bred. Her sire being, Corrado who is yet another Olympian in his pedigree, with over 120 show jumping progeny to date. He is considered as the founder of a Holsteiner sire line of his own! In his stallion performance test he scored an unprecedented 10 for both his loose jump and that under saddle.
Corrado is by Cor de la Bryere, a stallion that revolutionised the jumping horses' breeding. He too had an incredible impact in Holsteiner and he occurs in more than 80% of the top performance pedigrees as well as being credited with improving the breed's jumping technique. His sire Rantzau was from 1971-1973 the leading sire of dressage horses, show jumpers and event horses in France. He is regarded as the best thoroughbred stallion who ever entered the French sport horse breeding industry.
Corrado's dam, Soleil was a Nations Cup eventer and was herself by the extraordinary jumper, Capitol I, a stallion known to have 'put wings' on a legion of offspring. It is thanks to his influence that the Cottage Son xx line became one of the most influential thoroughbred infusions in Holstein breeding.
Holsatia IX, 'Mojo's' dams dam, was by the show jumping Olympian/World Championship stallion Landgraf I. Labeled by many as the 'stallion of the Century'. Immortalised in bronze at Elmshorn where he stands as the symbol of the modern Holsteiner Sport Horse. Her dam, Wicke III was by Caletto II (a son of Cor de a Bryere).
The evident potential in 'Mojo's bloodlines and the legendary ancestry that graces this stunning young horses pedigree indicates true potential on paper and his Grading results when presented to the Anglo European Studbook certainly seem to add gravitas to this.
Presented as a two year old, late in his second year GFS Eskimo Jo both stunned and impressed with his tremendous stature and character. He was awarded out of 10. An 8 for trot, 7 Posture and Balance, 9 Canter, 7 for both Reflexes and Technique. His scope over a fence was awarded and 8 and his attitude a 9. A horse for the future was the general consensus!
Mojo has since grown into his Herculean frame and last year we concentrated on developing his flatwork . His incredible concentration and willingness had him performing to Medium level very rapidly, finding lateral work so very easy and quickly establishing the basics of piaffe and passage. Aggravating an old injury saw a hold put on work early last summer but we persevere when he is good in himself as he loves his work and as well as his spectacular paces, he has a superb jump that has incredible technique and huge scope. I think without his injury he would have been a serious contender in sport.
He is a larrikin on the ground with a huge sense of humor but absolutely no malice which is fortunate given his size! He has a generous nature, sensible attitude and is a delight under saddle with an intelligence and work ethic that makes him a delight to ride.
He has produced a small number of super foals from a variety of mares each of which are a testament to his type, temperament and quality.
This stallion has not had the easiest of lives. Orphaned at four months, he then broke his stifle in two places at seven months and was restricted to confined box rest for three months. At eighteen months he cleaved his jaw in two requiring extensive surgery. We have produced Mojo under saddle carefully and with attention to his injuries and he is fabulous. He is quick to learn, enjoys his work, talented and not only does he have a huge scopey jump, he is very light of foot and naturally exceptionally balanced for such a big horse. We will not be competing him as although he loves being in work and remains sound, the risk of putting him under the increased strain of the work load necessary to maintain competitive fitness would not be sustainable.
Ark Angel CS is by the incredible Olympic show jumper Arko III and out of a mare who jumped to 1.40 by the incredible Selle Francais Keur stallion Calvados, who competed at 1.60. She had competed to Novice under the name of Double M Tarko with 124 points before being sold to an amateur home a couple of years ago. Her jumping pedigree is impeccable with Grand Prix and 1.60 jumpers featuring on virtually every line of both her dam and sires pedigree.
This mare is glamorous, talented and such a wonderful character. Miss personality plus, she is a born show off, incredibly loving and the kindest natured horse.
I feel blessed to own her and as injury has halted her show jumping career, I have every hope and expectation that she will be a simply superb broodmare and hopefully, a mother of many champions to come.
Her sire Arko III represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics which tops the lengthy list of outstanding International wins including the richest competition in the world, the Calgary CN Grand Prix 2008.
Arko's earning to date are over 1 million pounds and he was number one horse in Europe for three consecutive years. His breeding is impeccable with both dam and sire being of prodigious talent and bred from a long line of incredible performance ancestry and progenitors of the same.
Angels dam sire Calvados was bred from the best French performance bloodlines. Renowned as a leading sire of show jumpers as well as eventers and dressage horses. A Grand Prix showjumper himself, his sire the Selle Francais Uriel was leading French sire for many years with a breeding index of 211 (the highest figure ever in France). Although he was bred on a limited scale, he has numerous international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level.
This is a mare with a very talented family tree and some very big names to live up to!

The dam of this foal, Liosin Lux is also the dam of the Graded stallion Paddy of Liosin whom we bought in utero, Licensed as a stallion and produced to Novice eventing before he was sold. She has produced offspring who are competing with success in show jumping and eventing.

He comes from the same mareline that has produced the stallions Tenerife VDL and Quasimodo Z to name but a few. His dam Filomin is a Keur mare and a GP showjumper. Second dam Wilomena II is half sister to the great showjumper Paloma. Olympic Lux has sired International showjumpers but is also a dual purpose sire with many successful eventing progeny.

Aschachabad, Dars sire was an outstanding Russian Trakehner stallion by anyones standards.

A little about the breeding
Dolanda the dam of this foal is an eleven year old retired International Grade A show jumper with winnings in excess of £22,000 having jumped consistently up to 1.40. On the Sunshine Tour she won ten out of her twelve classes.
Dolly is a real powerhouse and a force of nature to behold when she steams across the paddocks her feet literally barely only touch the ground to propel her! As well as her phenomenal jump, bravery and balance, Dolanda moves with exceptional expression with paces that would easily mark her as a horse with real potential between the dressage boards if she hadn't been produced as a show jumper. She is a real heart and soul horse, she is not only beautiful but is equally blessed with an incredible temperament, this mare is a delight in every way and a very significant addition to our future plans. We adore her.
Sired by Ultimo (Phin Phin/Burggraaf) and out of a Wellington - Nimmerdor dam. This is a sire who remains high on the index despite not having sired large numbers before being sold to China. He had great success at 1.45 and 1.50 in Austria.
His sire Phin Phin, son of Olympian Chin Chin was a GP stallion with numerous international wins at both 1.50 and 1.60.
Her dam is by Wellington, his dam Patty is by the famed thoroughbred Lucky Boy and is also the G.dam of our own Wantasia! He competed up to Z level in dressage as well as having national success jumping at 1.30.
The stallion we have used this year is our own GFS Illuminati whose pedigree is of quite exceptional providence, with ancestors who have performed at the highest level show jumping. He is only three this year and having preliminary Licenced him in 2022, we made the decision to cover two of our very special mares with him.
We are incredibly excited by this young colt who not only displays incredible manners and a superb attitude. He has real presence, very good conformation and demonstrates exceptional movement, athleticism and huge potential.
Illuminati is by our own GFS Eskimo Jo whose Graded Holsteiner dam hailed from some of the finest German jumping lines in terms of both performance and breeding index and he is out of our late, wonderful mare It's Magic. Magic jumped successfully to 1.15 gaining 538 points before retiring early with injury.
This foal is much anticipated and creating a lot of interest and excitement!

A little about the breeding
This Indoctro sired mare is out of a Corland/Nimmerdor Keur awarded KWPN mare, Santasia.
She was retired at the young age of six due to a paddock accident and before her potential could be realised, this beautiful, graceful mare with her powerful, rhythmic, athletic movement, phenomenal jump and faultless temperament has consistently produced foals of exceptional quality and with all of the characteristics that make her so special to us and such a valuable broodmare.
Her bloodlines speak for themselves! On her dams side, her Grandsire is the amazing Keur Preferent stallion, Indoctro, showjumper and progenitor of highly regarded offspring competing in all three major disciplines, but the sire of over 180 competitive showjumpers. Wantasia's dam is by Corland ( son of the inimitable Cor de la Bryere) out of the showjumping International and important sire of champions, Nimmerdor.

Indoctro is a living legend and is among the world's best sires. His offspring achieve successes at the highest level. At the Olympic Games in 2008, three horses by Indoctro attended: VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Picolien Zeldenrust. In Holland he is known as VDL Indoctro, while in Germany, following the Holstein naming custom, he is C-Indoctro. By any name he is one of the world’s most successful jumping sires.
Performance - After being Champion of his stallion test, Indoctro went on to a successful international jumping career with Ulrich Kirchhoff. His main value has been as a breeding stallion, standing as one of VDL's foundation sires. Indoctro has been such a success as a sire for the KWPN studbook, that at the age of 16 he received the title: ‘Preferent’.
Sire - Indoctro is another hugely successful Capitol I/Caletto II cross. Capitol I is a real rarity in the ranks of Holsteiner stallions – a showjumping sire, whose name begins with ‘C’, who is not related to Cor de la Bryère! Nor for that matter, is he related to that other pillar of Holsteiner breeding, Landgraf, which means he adds variety into any breeding programme founded on those lines. Capitol's grand-dam Vase was champion mare of Holstein, while her full-brother, Roman, topped the German showjumping standings for two years running with Hans-Gunter Winkler. Vase’s daughter, Folia, by Maximus (himself an advanced showjumper), foaled five stallions: Latus I and II (both by Landgraf), and then Capitol. Capitol was by Capitano, who is by Corporal out of Retina. Retina won the Hamburg Derby with Fritz Thiedemann in the saddle.
Damline - His dam Vanessa VII also produced two full brothers, C-Indoctro II and the Olympic showjumper, National Guard, ridden by Fahad Al Geaid. Damsire Caletto I is a son of the great Cor De La Bryère, while third sire Calypso was also a foundation Holstein stallion.
Progeny - Indoctro's offspring speak for themselves. Some famous offspring include Casadora, Black Ice, Maddock, Nassau, Orame, Youp, VDL Masseratie, Mustique, Minka's Diamond, Nike, Nadia, Patrick VII, Kassandre Erger Kerbo, Wittinger, Sheraton, Sr. Doctro, Tavanta, Tyson, Ulano Ultimate, and Induction. At championships worldwide there are always Indoctro sons and daughters competing - at the 2014 World Equestrian Games, Indoctro was represented five times, including by Imothep, who finished 12th individually. Always There won the World Championship for five-year-old jumpers and was also the Dutch Jumping Champion. Van Schijndel's Concrex Owaola became Dutch Eventing Champion and Zirano V was Dutch Jumping Champion. Vedor was World Champion 6 year old jumpers and Ubalia became World Champion by the 7 year olds. Boss VDL and VDL Orame became in their years Champion of the KWPN Stallion approvals. Ultimate was Dutch Jumping Champion of the 4 year olds. Indoctro is the leading sire in the USEF ranking of jumping horses, while in 2016 he is ranked 18th on the WBFSH Sire Rankings.
