GFS Conchaccorado (2024)

Conthalou x Diarado/Corland

Bay Gelding to make 16.2hh Approx

AVAILABLE

Neither the sire nor Grand sire's of this magnificent foal need much introduction! This is a young horse whose breeding is as outstanding as his obvious quality. GFS Conchaccorado represents a rare opportunity for a discerning buyer looking for a genuine 5* prospect for the future. His temperament and movement are absolutely outstanding; he is sensitive but the most genuine, intelligent, calm and obliging natured youngster. His natural ability translates in both his exceptional ability to traverse an arena with natural style, grace and a self carriage far beyond his years. He has the gallop of a born eventer and a walk and trot that are quite superior. It is little wonder with his bloodlines that he has a jump. But, this boy knows that was what he was born to do and needs no encouragement to demonstrate a jump like a stag! It comes as naturally as breathing to him and he just flies!

This boy simply oozes class and superiority in every discernible aspect of possible appreciation. He is not only very beautiful, but he has an impressive presence, expressive movement and is undeniably a natural athlete in every sense of the word. He has a lovely kind temperament and an intelligent, willing attitude. He has been professionally handled from birth and as such he is easy to do in all situations, being both trusting and accepting. He is handled daily, easy to catch, mannerly in the stable, in hand and stands politely to be rugged, groomed. He is well behaved for the farrier and to be wormed.

GFS Conchaccorado's breeding:

His sire Conthalou made an ideal start as a sire with a magnificent first crop of foals, producing the top price of the Oldenburg auction in Vechta, Connery, who was sold for 33,000 Euros. For his outstanding offspring, he was named the main premium winner at the Oldenburg Stallion Days.
After his acclaimed victory at the licensing of the Oldenburg Show Jumping Breeding Association (OS), Conthalou completed his 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf with expected highlights for his jumping manner (9.0), scope (9.0), willingness to perform (9.5), rideability (9.0), temperament (9.25) and overall impression (9.0). With a total score of 8.86, he was only narrowly beaten in the strong field of 35 candidates and finished as second Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test.

The dam's sire Conthargos, has produced numerous top horses, including the international competition winner Conchento PS/Luciana Diniz/POR, Easy Girl/Santiago Lambre/BRA, Connecticut/Matthew Sampson/GBR, Cocolina/Natalie Dean/USA, Cosa Nostra/Jeroen Dubbeldam/NED and Conthinder/Andrzej Oplatek/POL, to only name a few. Almost 20 of his sons have been licensed, including our OS Champion Stallion and main premium winner Conthalou PS and the internationally successful Continental Blue.

His dam Belinda is internationally successful in 1.45m show jumping competitions.

His grand-dam Chaccos-Lüd is the half sister of an OS Premium Stallion by Los Angeles and the full sister of the two premium stallions Chacco’s Son I and II (both by Chacco-Blue).
Performance stallions Balou du Rouet and Chacco-Blue appear in the previous generations and secure Conthalou’s pedigree in the best way.
Balou du Rouet, himself successful in advanced level show jumping competitions. He is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but also appears, once again, amongst the top 15 and top 12 of the world's best show jumping and eventing sires respectively, according to the WBFSH ranking.

Chacco-Blue was third in the Grand Prix in Aachen, won the Grand Prix in Neumünster and has led the WBFSH ranking since 2017. From a breeding perspective, the elite stallion produced Explosion W/Ben Maher/GBR, Olympic Champion, individual silver and team bronze medallist at the European Championships and Global Champions Tour winner. Around 55 of his sons have been licensed.

His dam sire is the outstanding and remarkable Diarado who is number one for the world ranking stallions for eventing and eleven for show jumping!
Diarado is one of the most popular, and highest-ranked, stallions in Germany.
Diarado is not only popular as a sire of show jumpers, but also as a sire of eventers; he always passes on his beautiful and correct type and conformation, which is so important for long-term soundness and durability. He was in sixth place on the 2017 BE Sire Rankings for 4-8 year-old offspring.

His sire, Diamant de Semilly topped the WBFSH Sire Rankings for the second time in 2016, having been inside the top ten since 2012. During his career, he was French national champion and WEG team gold medallist in 2002, and European team silver medallist in 2003. Diamant de Semilly is known for his outstanding power, suppleness and balance.
His dam's combined pedigree includes Corrado I, Contender, Lord and Ramiro; four absolutely top sires in one line. Corrado I.

His offspring are marked by their beautiful, correct conformation, with excellent rideability, strong movement and with a lot of scope; they are much sought-after at numerous auctions. To date, more than 50 sons are licensed, among them numerous premium sires including Diarado's Boy, De Quidam, Don Diarado and Dicontinus.

Her dam sire, Corland is from the famous Holsteiner Line 104A, which goes directly back to Retsina, a two-time winner of the Hamburg Derby.
He also was Champion of the Benelux in The Hague, 7th in the World Cup of Verona and 2nd in ‘The Sires of the World’ in Lanaken.

Her dam was out of a Caretino Glory mare whose back pedigree is packed with the key names in jumping breeding – Cor De La Bryere, Ramiro, Gotthard. Further investigation of his pedigree goes some way to explaining why he passes on both quality and better than average movement.

His sire Cheenook was trained to Grand Prix level dressage, and was known for his flamboyant movement despite his Holstein jumping pedigree. In Germany alone he has 56 offspring competing at S level show jumping and 16 at S level dressage.

GFS Tigerlilly (2024)

GFS Illuminati x Indoctro/Corland

Buckskin Filly to make 16.1hh

SOLD

This incredibly pretty filly is an exceptionally athletic and a very flashy mover; she is fast, agile and demonstrates tremendous balance in all paces, with an ability to turn on a sixpence and accelerate with blinding pace.  She is naturally of a competitive mindset and loves to be at the front in all of the youngsters wild races and tomfoolery in the large open spaces they enjoy here as they learn and grow.

She has a super character and is very well handled.  She has lovely manners both in and out of the stable and has been professionally handled from birth.

Tigerlily is finer boned and very feminine in appearance, she is refined looking with tremendous presence and is exceptionally beautiful. She is well handled, mannerly in both the stable and in hand, she is a quick learner, willing and full of personality.

We feel that she would be suitable for someone looking for youngster with potential to compete to a higher level in eventing, talented and suitable to aim at young horse classes and with the option of suitability to produce for dressage or SJ if that is the preference.  In fact any discipline her new owner chose to pursue would be a very real option, including endurance, due to her natural ability, brave and intelligent character, natural physical versatility and engaged mindset.

Tigerlily is not built to be a weight carrier, she is lithe, supple and unlikely to attain a height above 16.1hh at maturity - small but mighty!

Her sire GFS Illuminati is a young home bred stallion who has been sold to a professional home in Dubai and we very much hope to follow his career.
His sire is also a home bred, we produced his sire to Novice eventing. His dam was a Premium Graded Holsteiner mare and ex show jumper with placings German Kl.L + Kl.M and her breeding was exceptional. She was by Corrado I (Cor de la Bryere/Capitol I x X Landgraf/Caletto)

Corrado combines the blood of the two great Cs – Cor de la Bryère and Capitol. He won the Grand Prix of Leeuwarden in 1993, and were second in the Nations Cup at La Baule. In 1994, Corrado won the World Cup Qualifier at Dortmund and finished third in the Nations Cup at Aachen. He also won the German Championship that year. In 1996, he won the Danish World Cup Qualifier at Aarhus, and the Grand Prix of Neumünster and Kiel. In 1997, Franke and Corrado were third in the Hamburg Grand Prix and fourth in the Grand Prix of Göteborg.
As a sire, Corrado was again, an instant success. His international jumpers were numerous and too many to list; perhaps his most spectacular son is the grey stallion, Clinton, who was individually 4th at the Olympic Games in Athens, and second behind Shutterfly at Aachen in 2005.
Fifteen Corrado sons have been approved for breeding in Holstein and his sons, Corofino I, Coriano, Coronado and Clinton have themselves already produced licensed sons. By the end of 2006, Corrado I recorded with 95 progeny who had jumped at an international level. His maternal G.Grandsires are none other than the legendary Cor de la Bryère and Landgraf.

Described by breeders as a 'gift from heaven', Cor de la Bryère has had an incredible impact on the Holsteiner breed, occurring in more than 70% of Holsteiner pedigrees, and is credited for improving the breed's jumping technique. He also had a huge impact on the Oldenburg breed.

‘Landgraf dominated the breeding scene in Schleswig-Holstein for over ten years. The success of his offspring both in terms of breeding and sport performance led to the demand for the stallion becoming almost insatiable.

Nearly sixty colts by Landgraf I have been licensed for the Holsteiner studbook.

Illuminati's dam, It's Magic was a remarkable mare of both quality and talent. Graded into the Westfalian Head Stud Book, she is by Hogwart the International Grand Prix showjumping stallion and Westfalian Stallion Champion (Concorde/Voltaire/Nimmerdor) This is a stallion of such quality that he is Licensed into the Belgium Warmblood, Holsteiner, KWPN, NRPS (Dutch) and Westfalian Studbooks. She was out of a Cassini/Caletto mare whose pedigree is steeped in International showjumpers.
Before her retirement due to injury and sadly prior to actually fulfilling her huge potential in competition, she jumped successfully to 1.20, with wins to BSJA Foxhunter and Notational winnings of £1153 (There are video's of her competing on our Broodmare Page.

Her paternal G.Sire Concorde was solidly bred to jump on both sides. Aside from his sire, Voltaire, his dam, Flyer, was by the legendary Marco Polo.
Concorde was an international jumper with Jos Lansink. They won the Grand Prix of Nordrhein-Westfalen at Aachen and they were Champion of the Netherlands in 1994. For three years in a row, Concorde was the sire with the most offspring at the World Breeding Championships for Young Jumping Horses. In the year 2001 alone, Concorde produced 17 jumpers who entered Grand Prix ranks.

Her maternal G.Sires were the International breeding stallion Cassini I and Lord Caletto GZ. Cassini was one of the most successful Holstein stallions of all time, sired by Capitol I out of the mare Wisma who is a daughter of Caletto II.
Lord Caletto was a Life Approved Holstein stallion. His International Sports Stallion status made Lord Calletto gz in a class of his own ! He won his 100 day performance test with 145 points in dressage (1st) and 138 points in jumping (1st) Lord Caletto is also one of the few stallions to have received Elite status Grading from the AES awarded by Kees Van Den Oetelaar . He was also graded with the swiss fed and the BWBS . Lord Caletto is also on the GOLD BRITISH SHOWJUMPING ELTE REGISTER OF STALLIONS . He won several times over 2,10m and higher, won six-bars at 1,80-1,90-2,00-2,10m

The dam of this exciting foal is also a home bred! She is out of my all time heart horse Wantasia (Indoctro x Corland/Nimmerdor) and by yet another very special AES Graded home bred GFS Lord of the Dance who was by a remarkable Russian Trakehner x Akhal Teke stallion that I imported as a yearling from Estonia and out of a very special mare who produced three Licenced stallions for me.

Her bloodlines speak for themselves! Her sire is the amazing Keur Preferent stallion, Indoctro, showjumper and progenitor of highly regarded offspring competing in all three major disciplines, but the sire of over 180 competitive showjumpers. Wantasia's dam is by Corland ( son of the inimitable Cor de la Bryere) out of the showjumping International and important sire of champions, Nimmerdor.
Indoctro is a living legend and is among the world's best sires. His offspring achieve successes at the highest level. At the Olympic Games in 2008, three horses by Indoctro attended: VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Picolien Zeldenrust. In Holland he is known as VDL Indoctro, while in Germany, following the Holstein naming custom, he is C-Indoctro. By any name he is one of the world’s most successful jumping sires.

Damline - Her dam Vanessa VII also produced two full brothers, C-Indoctro II and the Olympic showjumper, National Guard, ridden by Fahad Al Geaid. Damsire Caletto I is a son of the great Cor De La Bryère, while third sire Calypso was also a foundation Holstein stallion.

Wantasia's damsire, Corland is from the famous Holsteiner Line 104A, which goes directly back to Retsina, a two-time winner of the Hamburg Derby.
Corland had an impressive career under W.J. van der Schans. At the European Championship, Corland proved to all that he belongs in the category ‘the best in the world’. In Nation’s Cup series, he won both qualifiers and had the best results of the Nation’s competition clocking the fastest clear round. In the finals, he was 9th. Additionally, there were the following results: 2nd GP Rotterdam, 4th GP’s Oslo and Den Bosch, 5th GP’s Bordeaux and Maastricht, 6th GP Helsinki, 7th GP’s Zuidlaren, La Baule and Calgary.

GFS Astronova (2024)

This colt is such a super character. He is bold, brave, intelligent and he has a big generous personality with a confident, friendly nature. 'Astro' loves attention and enjoys human company. He is always incredibly engaged and quick to learn. He is powerfully built and has a conformation ideal for show jumping as you would expect from his breeding. He has a great shoulder, strong back with an almighty rear end and legs like pistons! He is quick, balanced and demonstrates pleasing, expressive paces and a natural aptitude for great agility at speed!
His nature is naturally calm and trusting with a kind, if occasionally cheeky personality. He has a temperament that makes him a true delight to handle and work with. This is going to be a very special horse with a huge competitive future and one to be seriously considered in terms of having a potentially big future in sport with bloodlines to back our confidence in his future. Astro's breeding is absolutely outstanding and makes him an extremely exciting prospect for someone looking for a future show jumper with the providence of champions running throughout his faultless pedigree and the brain of a winner.
GFS Astronova is currently entire and considered to potentially have the attributes desirable in future breeding stallion should he fulfil his promise.

A little about the breeding:
Ahorn competed at top International level and consistently placed in World Cups and Grand Prix competitions representing the Netherlands in Nations Cup competitions and was short-listed for the Barcelona Olympics. This earned him the prefix 'Olympic'. Ahorn is descended from one of the famous Holstein Families, no. 242 and is related to Joost, Alcatraz and Locarno. Ahorn's offspring continue the success with a number of progeny competing at International level. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Dutch Breeding, Ahorn, whose progeny have earned over $1,000,000 in prize money, has been awarded keur status by the KWPN. Ahorn's sire is none other than the world famous preferent stallion Nimmerdor.

Ahorn's dam produced 4 approved stallions and so far 3 international showjumpers. A fantastic producer of broodmares, Ahorn mares are highly valued for their ability to transmit the characteristics of this high-performance jumper (deceased) stallion.

Ahorn's sire Nimmerdor, KWPN Stallion of the Century, was the Netherland's top sire of showjumpers to 1993. He became a Preferant Stallion approved by almost every Sporthorse and Warmblood breed society. He himself was a very Successful International Show-Jumper and sire. Siring over 50 approved sons, numerous competition horses, exceptional broodmares and daughters with great conformation. In breeding has a heredity reliability of 94%.

His dam Ark Angel CS is by the incredible Olympic show jumper Arko III and out of a mare who jumped to 1.40 by the incredible Selle Francais Keur stallion Calvados, who competed at 1.60. She had competed to Novice under the name of Double M Tarko with 124 points before being sold to an amateur home prior to coming to stud. Her jumping pedigree is impeccable with Grand Prix and 1.60 jumpers featuring on virtually every line of both her dam and sires pedigree. Arko III represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics which tops the lengthy list of outstanding International wins including the richest competition in the world, the Calgary CN Grand Prix 2008.

Arko's earning to date are over 1 million pounds and he was number one horse in Europe for three consecutive years. His breeding is impeccable with both dam and sire being of prodigious talent and bred from a long line of incredible performance ancestry and progenitors of the same.

Angels dam sire Calvados was bred from the best French performance bloodlines. Renowned as a leading sire of show jumpers as well as eventers and dressage horses. A Grand Prix show jumper himself, his sire the Selle Francais Uriel was leading French sire for many years with a breeding index of 211 (the highest figure ever in France). Although he was bred on a limited scale, he has numerous international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level.

This is a mare with a very talented family tree and I can honestly say that not only are there some very big names for this foal to live up to, but this is quite possibly one of the two last foals to be born who will be sired by Ahorn whose semen was stored over thirty years ago. I am not even sure if there is any remaining!!
We actually have the other Ahorn yearling too! A yearling filly out of a well bred mare who competed at the top, internationally and consistently at 1.40.

A little about her Breeding:

Sired by the wonderful GFS Fire and Ice whose breeding and extensive, impressive and talented family tree can be explored on his own page, her on our website.  His eventing providence is tremendous on his dams side and on that of his sire, the extraordinary talent, temperament and versatility of the Danish Knabstrupper, coupled with the inimitable strength, stamina, bravery and performance of the Kinsky warmblood makes the amalgamation of Stardusts bloodlines when coupled with her exceptional show jumping history of her KWPN dam's pedigree.

Her dam Deihaiwejo is by Al Pacino W - An outstanding International Grand Pix show jumper and son of the amazing “phenomenon” Andiamo by Animo- Almé).

Her dam lines are equally impressive with her dam sire, Aiglon Rouge a son of two of the most incredible jumpers and producers of simply incredible offspring. Narcos II and the legendry mare, Dirka - dam of Quidam de Revel, Paprika de Revel, Vallon Rouge to name just a few!

This mare, in addition to her incredible ancestry of high achieving and historically important bloodlines. She has the most wonderful character and sensible nature which she consistently passes on to her offspring. A mare of impeccable breeding, huge athleticism, movement who was bred to excel as a jumper in her own right but fate and injury has prevented this.

Al Pacino W was bred from the beautiful blood mare SATAJAVERTE (by JulioMarinier xx) This family tree brought forth many approved stallions and international jumping horses.

Al Pacino W showed his superb qualities during his performance tests: jumping under saddle as well as free jumping and fulfiled all requirements for the KWPN Approval.

His sire Andiamo Z jumped internationally at 1.50 level despite starting his career later in life due to injury. Bred by Morten Aasen out of Taj Mahal {NRPS} Studbook Zangersheide brought in a dash of Anglo-Arabian blood via Andiamo Z. The sire of Taj Mahal x is no-one less than the Anglo-Arabian Garitchou x (by Nikou} who has provided various mares´lines with a large number of sport horses, including BWP-bred stallion Jus de Pomme, double Olympic gold for Germany and Ulrich Kirchhoff, Shogoun, Grand Prix winner under Philippe Le Jeune and Eric Navet, Quintus and Richebourg, both licensed stallions. The dam of Taj Mahal is Joyeuse by Nithard x. Other Nithard daughters have produced, for example, the stallion Olisoco, Grand Prix winner under the American Michael Matz, Privilege (Helmut Morbitzer}, Ronco (Bert Romp}, Quick Star (Meredith Michaels}, Inschallah x, Joad and Vetiver du Gamet (Philippe Leoni}. Grandsire Animo competed consistently among the best in World Cup and grand Prix competitions in the 90's. He jumped in the Olympic Final in 1992, and was placed in 48 World Cups and Grand Prix.

As a breeding stallion, Animo boasts sons approved in numerous studbooks globally.

Alme (GGG Sire)

Almé was by the Selle Francais, Ibrahim, a stallion whose influence is still incredibly strong today. His dam, Girondine produced three full brothers to Almé, which were all licensed stallions or successful jumpers.

As a young stallion was ridden by Bernard Geneste as a five-year-old, before he was purchased and competed by American Fred Lorimer Graham for two years. He was then taken as a mount by François Mathy and Johan Heins, with whom he competed internationally. He won many Grand Prix events, including the Grand Prix of the Netherlands.

Almé had a successful career at stud, which is often compared to that of the champion Thoroughbred stallion, Northern Dancer. He first stood at stud as a five year old, serving France from 1971-1974, before standing at Zangersheide from 1975-1985. He was then returned to France, where he stood at the Brullemail stud farm until his retirement in 1990, covering 420 mares from across Europe. His stud fee during this time, after having proven himself so well, ranged from F14,000 to F20,000.

During his first 4 years in France, Almé sired the international show jumpers Galoubet, I Love You (2 time World Cup winner), and Jalisco, as well as the stallions Quick Star and Quatoubet (sire of the three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet). While standing at Zangersheide, his offspring were registered in the Hanoverian stud book, where his blood had great influence, and he also made his way into the Holstein stud books through his sons Ahorn Z, Aloubé Z, Athlet Z, and Alexis Z. His grandson, Quidam de Revel, has also been used in Holstein breeding.

Alme is the only horse to have sired 2 World Champions and 3 Olympic horses. His son, Aerobic, became the top priced horse at the PSI Auktion in Ankum (650,000 DM).

Julio Mariner can also be found in the fourth line of her pedigree, he is believed to be on of the top thoroughbreds ever produced for breeding top sporthorses. Adding refinement, speed and intelligence.

Julio Mariner xx was approved in seven studbooks, including KWPN, Holstein, Hannover and Oldenburg. He was praised by breeders for his eagerness and excellent jumping techniques and is one of the best thoroughbred sires in Dutch breeding. Indeed, technique, reflexes and alertness characterise both the jumping manners of Julio Mariner xx and those of his offspring.

Stardust's G.Dam was by Aiglon Rouge and out of the mare that has probably had more influence than almost any other through her legendary son Quida de Revel

Dirka, despite being only 163 cms, won at international level with Nelson Pessoa, once returned to her breeder on retirement she was bred to Sans Souci, to produce two international competitors, Orka and Paprika de Revel, then with Jalisco B she produced Quidam de Revel and the broodmares, Razzia and Sarah de Revel. With Jalisco’s half brother, Kisosovo, she produced CSO winner, Vallon Rouge, and with Narcos, Aiglon Rouge, a star in Holland. With Quat’sous, she produced Byra Rouge, and with Pappillon Rouge, Dirka de Revel. What a mare!

GFS Shangri-La (2022)
GFS Lord of the Dance x Ark Angel CS (Arko III/Calvados)
Palomino Filly to make 16.2hh+
SOLD

003-_2300414.JPG

This filly is just so strong, well put together and she is going to be an absolute powerhouse.  She was born with a lovely character and all of the attributes of a young horse with huge athletic potential.  She has a beautifully fluidity and balance in trot and canter, a super big walk and the gallop of a born eventer!

'Halo' has been well handled from birth and is easy to catch, mannerly with the farrier, to worm, lead, groom and behaves impeccably in both stable and field.  She loves attention and will be a very exciting prospect for the future with her exceptional bloodlines and natural talents. We believe that she will be suited to someone looking for a solid eventing prospect, hunter or jumper with a lot of potential.

Her dam, Ark Angel CS is by the incredible Olympic show jumper Arko III and out of a mare who jumped to 1.40 by the incredible Selle Francais Keur stallion Calvados, who competed at 1.60. She had competed to Novice under the name of Double M Tarko with 124 points before being sold to an amateur home from where I was able to buy her. Her jumping pedigree is impeccable with Grand Prix and 1.60 jumpers featuring on virtually every line of both her dam and sires pedigree.

This mare is glamorous, talented and such a wonderful character.  Miss personality plus, she is a born show off, incredibly loving and the kindest natured horse. GFS Shangri La has been her first foal and given us great excitement in terms of her future progeny.

Her sire Arko III represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics which tops the lengthy list of outstanding International wins including the richest competition in the world, the Calgary CN Grand Prix 2008.

A Grand Prix showjumper himself, his sire the Selle Francais Uriel was leading French sire for many years with a breeding index of 211 (the highest figure ever in France). Although he was bred on a limited scale, he has numerous international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level.

Shangr La's sire is our own AES Graded and Licensed cremello stallion, GFS Lord of the Dance, who is 'stamping' his offspring to date and producing tall, well built foals with a powerful, compact frames, long legs and extremely attractive heads, set well on an elegant necks of good length. Equally pleasing is the bold, calm and easy going charm they inherit from this beautiful young stallion whose gentle, unflappable nature makes him such a joy to deal with.

Lord of the Dance is a home bred young stallion whose sire we owned and stood with great success until the time of his untimely passing.

Destello was imported by myself as a yearling from his breeder in Estonia. His breeding was rare and highly sought Russian Trakehner x Akhal Teke with superb breeding and illustrious competition ancestry on both sides of his pedigree. Sadly injured as a two year old, he was unable to commence his much anticipated career under saddle and out eventing. There is however little doubt that had he had the opportunity his unbelievable athleticism, raw speed, power and endurance coupled with his incredible brave nature would have made him a formidable force in competition.

Dar, Destello's sire is by the International Grand Prix and Elite stallion Ashkhabad and his dam Dolina was a show jumping International.

The Russian Trakehner is rarely seen outside of Russia. This aristocratic and jealously guarded product of highly selective breeding has proven results throughout Eastern Europe as exceptionally talented performers in each of the three major discipline

Aschachabad, Dars sire was an outstanding Russian Trakehner stallion by anyones standards. Bred at the famous Dovatar Stud, he was the winner of Young Stallion of the year held amongst all Belorussian Trakehners. He scored an unprecedented 10 for his jumping ability. However, it was as a dressage horse that Aschchabad was to make his name. He was eventually sold to Germany for dressage.

GFS Lord of the Dance's dam was owned by us for many years and produced many superb foals for us including two additional Licensed stallions. She was by the hugely promising palomino Hanoverian stallion Malibu Galileo and out of an American thoroughbred mare of tremendous performance and providence on the track

074-_2310099.JPG

This exceptionally beautiful, long legged filly is the last of a dynasty produced by her legendary dam Liosin Lux (dam of a Graded stallion, superb sport horses and two sets of surviving twins! She is also the grand dam, GG dam and GGG dam of Licensed stallions - she is a mare who produces exceptional quality and superb temperament)

This is a golden beauty with a huge personality, real intelligence and lovely nature.

She is going to be like her siblings before her in terms of bold attitude, quick mind and formidable athletic potential; with big, expressive paces and balanced, elevated movement.

We feel that she is ideally suited to a future either show jumping or eventing. But, she would equally impress between the white boards.

She has been professionally handled from birth, receiving monthly farrier visits, regular worming and is vice free both in and out of the stable. She is easy to catch, lead, rug, groom and handle.  But, she is quite particular in selecting her people! She is currently not that infatuated with the farrier, but this is something that we are working on and is improving with each visit.

This filly is a naturally calm, confident and friendly youngster who enjoys attention and shows both intelligence and an aptitude for learning quickly.

We feel that this little stunner would be suited to someone experienced with youngsters as she is very clever and highly suitable for production for higher level sport.

A Little about her breeding:

Her dam Liosin Lux is an extraordinary mare who has competed at 1.20 in Ireland,  has successfully foaled two sets of healthy twins as well as being the dam, grand dam and great grand dam of three Licensed stallions.  Her offspring also include show jumpers up to 1.40, dressage horses and is the dam of our previously owned Graded stallion Paddy of Liosin who is currently competing at BE Novice.

She is by the KWPN stallion Olympic Lux. He is a proven sire of remarkable progeny. He competed up to six years of age jumping National 1.30m classes. He comes from the same mareline that has produced the stallions Tenerife VDL and Quasimodo Z to name but a few. His dam Filomin is a Keur mare and a GP showjumper. Second dam Wilomena II is half sister to the great showjumper Paloma.

Olympic Lux has sired International showjumpers but is also a dual purpose sire with many successful eventing progeny.

Sired by Lux Z, one of the most successful stallions in International showjumping. He competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. A winner of over a million euro, his pedigree is something of a blue chip dynasty in the world of International competition, with a litany of champions peppering every extension of the family tree!

GFS Infatuations sire GFS Lord of the Dance is home bred and by a stallion that I imported as a yearling from Estonia (Destello). Both these super stallions breeding and details are well documented on their own pages on this website. With their combined pedigrees they bring a rare and desirable blood infusion of of the distinguished Russian Trakehner in it's purest form and top performance, the exotic and mysterious Akhal Teke of Turkmenistan, renowned for extraordinary stamina, agility, bravery and loyalty and American thoroughbred bloodlines of incredible speed and talent as well as a pinch of Hanoverian gravitas and physical power.

AES Graded and Licensed cremello stallion, GFS Lord of the Dance is 'stamping' his offspring to date. Tall, well built with a powerful, compact frame, long legs and extremely attractive head set well on an elegant neck of good length. A little about his breeding

Charisma his dam is a dilute, coloured Wesphalian mare by the Advanced Elite Graded coloured Trakehner eventing stallion Camaro. We imported her from Germany as a weaned foal following an accident that precluded her from the eventing career that she was bred for. Her first foal, GFS Mikado had been retained to stand as a potential future stallion here but due to a change of plan, he was sold to the USA where at rising six years old he has already started making his name on the US show jumping circuit, having successfully just made the transition to jumping 1.10. He is Graded and Approved with the Oldenburg Registry as is his first daughter born in the US who received a fantastic reception at her inspection.

Charisma's dam is a Kinsky warmblood mare and product of a dedicated breeding program initiated by Count Kinsky in developing a horse of enormous versatility and outstanding temperaments. This breed has excelled over the past century in almost all disciplines with great aplomb but their true purpose and original forte was as steeplechasers extraordinaire. They have as a breed had great success in the 'Devil's Race' the Grand Pardubice in the now Czech Republic.

This lovely girl has been bred will the sole intention of breeding a very exciting eventing prospect. Charisma's foals to date are born gallopers, they are fast and love to jump anything in their path. They move with exceptional style and energy and each have demonstrated big, bold and  calm natures as well as sociable characteristics.

This foal's sire GFS Fire and Ice is homebred and both Graded and Licensed with the Anglo European Studbook.

GFS Fire and Ice is a uniquely coloured warmblood AES Graded and Licensed stallion with an exceptionally interesting pedigree that combines both rare Danish Knabstrupper, the highly prized Czech Kinsky Warmblood with a generous sprinkling of some top performance thoroughbred and the versatile, multi talented and top temperament of the Irish Connemara.

There is much information here on this website of both Ice and his sire who stood with us for many years, Colourthyme Kajika, who is also Graded and Licensed with the AES; He represents the Knabstrupper and Kinsky element of this wonderful melting pot of equestrian breeds. He is a superb stallion who represents, excellent conformation, incredible athleticism and a truly faultless temperament.

Ice's dam was a big moving, athletic and big moving NTR mare who epitomised the elegance, power and grace of the modern sport horse.

Folly's Rock was by the leading sire of event horses Rock King who was also the sire of the Olympic eventer Rock Model. as well as siring sired four additional competitors at the 2008 CCI **** at Luhmuhlen. He is a sire proven to produce exceptional offspring of huge talent and impeccable temperament.

Rock King was renowned for his fantastic attitude, excellent paces and superb jumping technique. As a four year old Rock King won the Stoneways Potential Show jumper and was in the final twelve for the Young Event Horse Class. From there his career sky rocketed. Sadly, his career was tragically cut short whilst competing at Tweeseldown Horse Trials in 2000 where he sustained a fatal injury. He was at that time already Advanced, accruing over 200 BE points during his short career which would otherwise undoubtedly have seen him feature in many major horse trials.

He was sired by, Just a Monarch.  A stallion that has produced many superb competition stock over the years.  Many of his proven progeny including the International Event Horses, Kings Jester, Just an Ace and Midnight Monarch, as well as point-to-pointer Mark Methane who has won over 30 races.

Rock Kings' dam, Rockys Double and Grand dam, Farley Mount were both prolific producers of CCI **** Eventers, including; Double Trust, Alfresco, Trust in me and Kilcashel.

There is some serious jumping talent to be found in this filly's pedigree and her dam Zievident is has already produced a 3*Eventer as well as another who is being produced by Erica Watson!

Due to a lack of a rider this hugely talented, straight forward and easy natured young mare is currently available. Low mileage but quality training and exposure to outside venues where it counts.  She is safe, willing, well schooled and safe to ride alone, in company, at shows, on the road and in open spaces.  She is a massively exciting young horse for the future and a joy to handle and ride anywhere.

This lovely looking girl is  powerfully built, with a big trot, lovely uphill, balanced canter and a ground covering gallop.

She was bred to compete and whether it is to show jump, event or even perhaps dressage, she has already shown  some serious potential in all three of these disciplines with only three months under saddle!

This young mare represents an enormously exciting prospect for anyone looking to produce a young horse with ambitions to aim high!

She has a big lovable character, exhibits great intelligence and a natural aptitude for rapid understanding and willingness to cooperate.  She is a motivated youngster with a superb attitude under saddle.  She loves work and approaches all challenges with enthusiasm and maximum effort. If she was not so young and inexperienced, you could almost put a novice on her.

Last summer she has gone from barely backed backed in the Autumn to achieving 7th in a highly competetive BYEH 4 year old class, even following a five hour traffic stoppage on the M5 and ten minutes to warm up before her class! This was after only three months under saddle!!

Zingle has attended several training shows - dressage and SJ, she has been to a number of arena hires, cross country and hacks on roads or across the vast expanse of Dartmoor in a snaffle and always exhibiting superb manners and a calm, sensible approach.

She loads and travels well, comes to call, she is vice free, superb with the farrier, dentist and to worm.

She  stands beautifully at shows and demonstrates behavior well beyond her years and experience.

This is a genuinely serious prospect for the future and a horse who has got so much talent, such a generous spirit and who is absolutely everybody's best friend.

He is regarded as the best thoroughbred stallion who ever entered the French sport horse breeding industry.

Corrado's dam, Soleil was a Nations Cup eventer and was herself by the extraordinary jumper, Capitol I, a stallion known to have 'put wings' on a legion of offspring. It is thanks to his influence that the Cottage Son xx line became one of the most influential thoroughbred infusions in Holstein breeding.

Holsatia IX, 'Mojo's' dams dam, was by the show jumping Olympian/World Championship stallion Landgraf I. Labeled by many as the 'stallion of the Century'. Immortalised in bronze at Elmshorn where he stands as the symbol of the modern Holsteiner Sport Horse. Her dam, Wicke III was by Caletto II (a son of Cor de a Bryere).

The evident potential in 'Mojo's bloodlines and the legendary ancestry that graces this stunning young horses pedigree indicates true potential on paper and his Grading results when presented to the Anglo European Studbook certainly seem to add gravitas to this.

Our horses are top quality they are reasonably priced and we strive to keep the prices both realistic and sensible in terms of cost of production and work involved. No shortcuts have been taken nor expense spared in nurturing these special individuals!

A GFS horse has had the very best opportunity to become the best they can be regarding breeding providence, welfare, handling and health care from day one! We do not breed by accident or whim, our horses are bred with absolute professionalism from conception to the moment they leave us. They are free to roam from foals on huge improved pasture land of varied terrain, learning and playing naturally in a herd environment as well as the benefits of periodic handling for regular trimming, worming and age appropriate training intervals. All are bred from Anglo European Studbook Graded stallions and Graded mares, microchipped, registered with full papers with the Anglo European Studbook and vaccinated for tetanus.

All of our horses are winter housed but have extensive access to all weather turnout throughout the bad weather. Each horse is individually monitored at all times and fed as appropriate and in accordance with their physical development and nutritional requirements.  Our forage is analysed and grass methodically rested and or cross grazed to maintain clean, healthy pasture for our youngsters and broodmares to benefit from.

Our clients can tell the difference and are discerning enough to recognise not only the top quality of our youngsters but the extra efforts it takes to make them stand out. The GFS horses fantastic natures and relaxed willing outlook is no accident, their natural good temperament and great attitudes have been nurtured from birth and selectively bred into them by using only breeding stock of exceptional attributes both physically and in terms of temperament! Our program is one that is firmly established and as such we are able to offer a good choice of horses 'stamped' with our own particular credentials and criteria. In most cases we are also able to offer the opportunity to meet dams, sires as well as siblings and occasionally grandparents or G.grandparents!!

Feel free to come and meet the horses, I think you will notice the difference!

Our prices are not negotiable; they are fair, in line with current market value and as such are currently barely at break even!
