Palomino Filly

To make 16.2hh+

AVAILABLE

GFS Stardust is a very glamorous dark golden palomino filly with a perfectly 'painted' white stripe and four white socks.  She has the excellent athletic conformation of a modern sporthorse, absolutely sensational movement in each and every pace, demonstrating balance, true cadence and a big, hugely expressive trot.  She is going to be a very exciting young horse with a lot of natural talent and potential in the right hands.

She is well handled, good to catch and mannerly in both the field and stable. She is intelligent, gentle but is also showing signs of very much being a one person horse.

The dam of this lovely youngster is Quirilina Z. She is a Zangersheide mare who has jumped with success at 1.15 and 1.20 on the Atlantic Tour at Vilamoura as a five year old on an FEI passport, gaining a first and top ten placings respectively in her but developed an aversion to travelling.  She went on to have a good BSJA record with her next owner prior to sustaining a foot injury.

She is a big, powerfully built horse with absolutely outstanding movement, balance and speed.  She has a superb jumping pedigree and enormous scope over a fence, these are some of the qualities that we are seeing in her offspring to date although all are too young to assess their jumps at this point.

Her sire Quirifino Z successfully competed for several years at 1.60m with Ben Maher, coming 4th in the Hickstead Derby among numerous other winnings at Grand Prix level, including competing at the Global Champions Tour 2009 & 2010.

He is a very versatile stallion having produced both showjumpers and eventers. He is renowned for passing his laid back nature to his offspring.

Quidam de Revel, Quirifino's sire is one of the most influential breeding stallions of all time.  His offspring are highly sought after as they have huge scopey jumps, but remain ultra careful.  In 2004 Quidam topped the World Breeding Championships jumping stallion ratings for the second year, establishing him as  the pre-eminent (and most expensive) living sire of showjumping horses.

Quirifino's dam sire Grosso Z produced the international jumping star Goldfever and the international dressage stallion Goethe.

Her damsire Lorentin I is a famous Holsteiner dressage stallion which may well explain her phenomenal movement! He competed at Grand Prix level and sired top dressage progeny including L'Acteur and Limocello.

Fleming her dams Holstein grandsire also competed at Grand Prix dressage.

GFS Stardust's sire, AES Graded and Licensed cremello stallion, GFS Lord of the Dance is 'stamping' his offspring to date. Tall, well built with a powerful, compact frame, long legs and extremely attractive head set well on an elegant neck of good length. Equally exciting is the bold, calm and easy going charm they inherit from this beautiful young stallion whose gentle, unflappable nature makes him such a joy to deal with.

Lord of the Dance is a home bred young stallion whose sire we owned and stood with great success until the time of his untimely passing;

Destello was imported by myself as a yearling from his breeder in Estonia. His breeding was rare and highly sought Russian Trakehner x Akhal Teke with superb breeding and illustrious competition ancestry on both sides of his pedigree. Sadly injured as a two year old, he was unable to commence his much anticipated career under saddle and out eventing. There is however little doubt that had he had the opportunity his unbelievable athleticism, raw speed, power and endurance coupled with his incredible brave nature would have made him a formidable force in competition.

Dar, Destello's sire aquited himself in both dressage and show jumping, he was by the International Grand Prix and Elite stallion Ashkhabad and his dam Dolina was a show jumping International.

The Russian Trakehner is rarely seen outside of Russia. This aristocratic and jealously guarded product of highly selective breeding has proven results throughout Eastern Europe as exceptionally talented performers in each of the three major discipline

Aschachabad, Dars sire was an outstanding Russian Trakehner stallion by anyones standards. Bred at the famous Dovatar Stud, he was the winner of Young Stallion of the year held amongst all Belorussian Trakehners. He scored an unprecedented 10 for his jumping ability. However, it was as a dressage horse that Aschchabad was to make his name. He was eventually sold to Germany for dressage.

GFS Lord of the Dance's dam was owned by us for many years and produced many superb foals for us including two additional Licensed stallions. She was by the hugely promising palomino Hanoverian stallion Malibu Galileo and out of an American thoroughbred mare of tremendous performance and providence on the track

GFS Shangri-La (07/05/22)

GFS Lord of the Dance x Ark Angel CS (Arko III/Calvados)

Palomino Filly to make 16.2hh+

AVAILABLE

This filly is just so strong, well put together and she is going to be an absolute powerhouse.  She was born with a lovely character and all of the attributes of a young horse with huge athletic potential.  She has a beautifully fluidity and balance in trot and canter, a super big walk and the gallop of a born eventer!

'Halo' has been well handled from birth and is easy to catch, mannerly with the farrier, to worm, lead, groom and behaves impeccably in both stable and field.  She loves attention and will be a very exciting prospect for the future with her exceptional bloodlines and natural talents.

Her dam, Ark Angel CS is by the incredible Olympic show jumper Arko III and out of a mare who jumped to 1.40 by the incredible Selle Francais Keur stallion Calvados, who competed at 1.60. She had competed to Novice under the name of Double M Tarko with 124 points before being sold to an amateur home from where I was able to buy her. Her jumping pedigree is impeccable with Grand Prix and 1.60 jumpers featuring on virtually every line of both her dam and sires pedigree.

This mare is glamorous, talented and such a wonderful character.  Miss personality plus, she is a born show off, incredibly loving and the kindest natured horse. GFS Shangri La has been her first foal and given us great excitement in terms of her future progeny.

Her sire Arko III represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics which tops the lengthy list of outstanding International wins including the richest competition in the world, the Calgary CN Grand Prix 2008.

Arko's earning to date are over 1 million pounds and he was number one horse in Europe for three consecutive years. His breeding is impeccable with both dam and sire being of prodigious talent and bred from a long line of incredible performance ancestry and progenitors of the same.

Angels dam sire Calvados was bred from the best French performance bloodlines. Renowned as a leading sire of show jumpers as well as eventers and dressage horses. A Grand Prix showjumper himself, his sire the Selle Francais Uriel was leading French sire for many years with a breeding index of 211 (the highest figure ever in France). Although he was bred on a limited scale, he has numerous international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level.

Shangr La's sire is our own AES Graded and Licensed cremello stallion, GFS Lord of the Dance, who is 'stamping' his offspring to date and producing tall, well built foals with a powerful, compact frames, long legs and extremely attractive heads, set well on an elegant necks of good length. Equally pleasing is the bold, calm and easy going charm they inherit from this beautiful young stallion whose gentle, unflappable nature makes him such a joy to deal with.

GFS Moon Daizie (2021)

GFS Lord of the Dance x Colourthyme Kajika/Rock King/Bohemond

Palomino

Reg: Anglo European Studbook

To make 16 - 16.1hh

This filly is absolutely breathtaking to look at with her shimmering pale golden coat. She is by GFS Lord of the Dance. His influence is clear in her super attitude, big elastic movement and ground covering paces and has been hugely beneficial in  complimenting her very powerfully built dam who has superb paces, stength, speed and incredible scope.  GFS Lord of the Dance was bred by us by a Russian Trakehner x Akhal Teke stallion that we purchased as a yearling from Estonia. His breeding is both rare and sought after for the ability to excel in all three of the Olympic disciplines but whose stamina, speed and bravery under saddle as well as their ferocious loyalty and willingness to work has made them highly prized as ridden horses. His dam was a thoroughbred x Hanoverian of exceptional beauty, golden nature and excellent breeding.

Her attitude is superb, she is outgoing, friendly and incredibly willing to please.

This filly moves with such athletic grace, she is effortlessly stylish and balanced in all gaits. She is calm, confident and full of charm, good grace, generosity of spirit and a loving character. I have owned both parents, grandsires and grandmothers.

Breeding

Her dam is a full sister to our stallion GFS Fire and Ice. Her dam sire, Colourthyme Kajika was one of our foundation stallions, his foals are easily recognisable by their powerful, compact physiques, strong backs, powerful build and stunning heads. Their temperaments have always been simply amazing; highly people oriented, genuine and incredibly willing under saddle.

Kajika's foals have historically had an extraordinary bond with people from the start, quick to learn, eager to please and very gentle. Highly sociable and with a great natures, these special individuals stand with such pride and presence.

These are the ultimate high end amateur horses, family friends or superb all rounders with style, pizazz, huge potential and huge characters!

Kajika is bred from both rare and sought after bloodlines. His sire line are from exceptional Danish Knabstrupper ancestry with TB bloodlines tracing back to the legendary racehorse, Eclipse! and his dam lines are of the the multi talented and highly versatile all round Czech Kinsky Warmblood, carrying the highly prized Trakehner blood tracing directly back through Pythagoras/Dampfross and to the Godolphin Arabian and Bryerly Turk. these are two of the three Arabian Stallions responsible for the thoroughbred horse.

Daizie's great dam, Folly's Rock is by the leading sire of event horses Rock King. Himself the sire of the Olympic eventer Rock Model. He also sired four competitors at the 2008 CCI **** at Luhmuhlen.

Rock King was renowned for his fantastic temperament, excellent paces and superb jumping technique. As a four year old Rock King won the Stoneways Potential Showjumper and was in the final twelve for the Young Event Horse Class. From there his career sky rocketed. Sadly, his career was tragically cut short whilst competing at Tweeseldown Horse Trials in 2000 where he sustained a fatal injury. He was at that time already Advanced, accruing over 200 BE points during his short career which would otherwise undoubtedly have seen him feature in many major horse trials.

He was sired by, Just a Monarch. A stallion that has produced many superb competition stock over the years. Many of his proven progeny including the International Event Horses, Kings Jester, Just an Ace and Midnight Monarch, as well as point-to-pointer Mark Methane who has won over 30 races.

Rock Kings' dam, Rockys Double and Grand dam, Farley Mount were both prolific producers of CCI **** Eventers, including; Double Trust, Alfresco, Trust in me and Kilcashel.

Folly's damsire is none other than the legendary Bohemond, HIS Premium stallion and sire of double Olympic event mare Withcote Nellie and dam sire of NZ WEG Team horse Classic Moet, this years Badminton winner.

Her dam's dam was a Connemara jumping pony, Spring Fidgit which is where her glorious golden colour and very pretty almost 'pony' head.

Both Folly's sire and dam can trace their ancestry back to Pharos, with a great number of highly acclaimed racehorse royalty adorning the family tree in between.

It is with regret that I am offering this lovely young horse, I have no doubt that she will make someone a horse of a lifetime....

GFS Alaska

GFS Alaska is by GFS Eskimo Jo (Paddy of Liosin x Corrado I/Landgraf) and out of GFS Pandora (GFS Fire and Ice x Crown's Ace of Pearl). I own or have owned nine of her relatives including her great grandmothers (one of which is still with us) and her great grandfather! I bred both her dam and sire, as well as her maternal G.sire. I know these bloodlines so well and Alaska is going to be a culmination of years of careful breeding.

GFS Alaska has some serious show jumping and eventing blood and I am very hopeful that she will mature into a young horse who will realise the potential of her pedigree and early promise. Time will tell...

Alaska is expected to attain a height at maturity of 17hh at the very least. She has the most incredibly easy going and sociable character, beings both personable and eager to cooperate in any way requested of her.

This filly moves beautifully she is active, supple and balanced with a wonderfully loose, swinging trot which is naturally elevated in its expression. Her canter is uphill, balanced and she really engages her hindquarters. This is a really special filly with superb attributes, faultless temperament and a kind, intelligent outlook.

I have no 100% made a decision on where her future lies, but she is certainly going to be a treasure for whoever is lucky enough to own her.

GFS Zingalina

GFS Eskimo Jo x Zievdent

4th June 2020

Chestnut filly - To make 16.2hh minimum

https://sporthorse-data.com/pedigree/gfs-zingalina

There is some serious jumping talent to be found in this filly's pedigree and her dam Zievident is of course the dam of the eventing 'wonderchild' GFS Moonlight Echo and GFS Rapunzel who are both in a professional eventers yard being aimed for the top end of the sport!

This lovely looking girl is a tremendously powerfully built two year old with a big trot, lovely uphill, balanced canter and a ground covering gallop.

She is bred to compete and whether it is to show jump, event or even perhaps dressage, she will present a very exciting prospect for anyone looking to produce a young horse with ambitions to aim high!

She has a big character, exhibits great intelligence and a natural aptitude for rapid understanding and willingness to cooperate.  She is a motivated, powerfully built filly yet she retains great elegance and a pleasing femininity.

GFS Zingalina represents an opportunity for an ambitious rider to produce a young horse who is going to be tremendously rewarding and will be a lot of fun to get to know. This is an impressive horse with a lot of presence and  an abundance of potential.

This filly is lovely to handle, she has no vices and demonstrates  enormous promise.

Spring 2023

Breeding

This filly has exceptional jumping lines throughout her pedigree.  Her dam is by the super GP showjumping stallion Karandasj, who is a stallion renowned for both his jumping ability and rideability. A top WBFSH ranked sire of both eventers and showjumpers.

Izzy's dam was an International GP dressage mare with a fascinating amalgamation of both dressage and showjumping bloodlines and by the KWPN stallion Hofnar. This is a very strong motherline and it has shone through in her offspring to date.

Her sire the young AES Graded stallion GFS Eskimo Jo whose first real crop of foals this year has been very encouraging. His sire whom we also own is currently competing Novice level BE with both the scope and talent to progress once the season recommences! His dam was a Graded Holsteiner by Corrado I out of a Landgraf mare.

Sired by our own young stallion Paddy of Liosin. His bloodlines are predominantly of show jumping providence. His sire is Crown's Ace of Pearl a stallion who has been campaigned extensively as show jumper, dressage and eventer, he is by the ZfdP International GP show jumping stallion, Crown's Blue Pearl. A horse bred from the rare and multi talented Kinsky breeding program and infused with high performance thoroughbred bloodlines. The German stallion A-Dur compliments this impressive jumping providence.

Paddy's dam is by Olympic Lux (Lux Z/Lord Calando/Ahorn Z x Ahorn/Nimmerdor/Vicomte Grandieux), the KWPN stallion and prolific sire of of over 15 show jumpers and 15 eventers, all competing at top level. His sire, Lux Z has made an enormous impact on Holsteiner sports breeding. As well as being an Olympic show jumper he has sired over 60 show jumpers and significant numbers of both eventers and dressage horses.

Mojo's dam, N-She's All, a Head Stud Book and premium graded Holsteiner is 100% jump bred. Her sire, Corrado is yet another Olympian with over 120 show jumping progeny to date. He is considered as the founder of a Holsteiner sire line of his own! In his stallion performance test he scored an unprecedented 10 for both his loose jump and that under saddle.

Corrado is by Cor de la Bryere, a stallion that revolutionised the jumping horses' breeding. He too had an incredible impact in Holsteiner and he occurs in more than 80% of the top performance pedigrees as well as being credited with improving the breed's jumping technique. His sire Rantzau was from 1971-1973 the leading sire of dressage horses, show jumpers and event horses in France. He is regarded as the best thoroughbred stallion who ever entered the French sport horse breeding industry.

Corrado's dam, Soleil was a Nations Cup eventer and was herself by the extraordinary jumper, Capitol I, a stallion known to have 'put wings' on a legion of offspring. It is thanks to his influence that the Cottage Son xx line became one of the most influential thoroughbred infusions in Holstein breeding.

Holsatia IX, 'Mojo's' dams dam, was by the show jumping Olympian/World Championship stallion Landgraf I. Labeled by many as the 'stallion of the Century'. Immortalised in bronze at Elmshorn where he stands as the symbol of the modern Holsteiner Sport Horse. Her dam, Wicke III was by Caletto II (a son of Cor de a Bryere).

The evident potential in 'Mojo's bloodlines and the legendary ancestry that graces this stunning young horses pedigree indicates true potential on paper and his Grading results when presented to the Anglo European Studbook certainly seem to add gravitas to this.
